Biography

Joy Kong, M.D., is a UCLA-trained, triple board-certified physician (American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology, American Board of Addiction Medicine, and American Board Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine). She is the president of Thea Center for Regenerative Medicine in Los Angeles, California, where she specializes in stem cell treatments to improve the functions of diverse organ systems in the body, as well as for preventative and wellness purposes. She is also the medical director for Avalon Surgery Center, overseeing all regenerative medicine treatments. Joy is an educator in regenerative medicine arena, a board member of American Association of Stem Cell Physicians and founded American Academy of Integrative Cell Therapy, where she provides physician training on the science, clinical evidence and aspects of clinical practice of cell therapy. She has developed unique stem cell treatment protocols, including patent-pending intranasal and male & female sexual wellness protocols. Dr. Kong is the founder and CEO of Chara Biologics, a company dedicated to providing cutting-edge regenerative medicine products in the US and the global market, providing the most innovative and comprehensive stem cell products on the market. As a proponent for high quality clinical research, she serves as the co-founder and CEO of a stem cell research organization along with other pioneers in the field. Joy is a firm believer in the therapeutic potentials of cell therapy, has lectured nationally and internationally on stem cell treatments, exchanged ideas with top stem cell scientists from around the globe, and worked closely with various cell laboratories in this country.
