Biography

Gerald Drefahl, M.S., ATC, is a renowned expert and innovator in the fields of rehabilitation and corrective kinesiology. Gerald is the founder of Kinesics, a continuing education and software company, and the CEO of FITT, a private pay integrated wellness facility. As the creator and CEO of Kinesics Software and Education Platform he launched the Kinesics learning management system. As the sole instructor in Kinesics asynchronous lectures produced in video format, Gerald leads a team of professional consultants to assist in crafting the presentation of the course including staff writers, speaking coaches, graphic designers, video editors, business administrators, online course development team, technical staff, and social media management team. Kinesics is an approved continuing education provider for the NATA Board of Certification (BOC), LAPT, TPTA, NSCA, ACSM, NASM, AFAA. Gerald is also the creator of Kinesics Software System. The Kinesics Software System is a proprietary software that allows practitioners to conduct scientifically valid evaluations in order to detect imbalances and deviations throughout the entire body. In 2,000, Gerald founded FITT, an integrated therapy and training facility which employs personal trainers, massage therapists, physical therapists, athletic trainers, dietitians and holistic health practitioners. Gerald developed a standardized system for all employees to follow for the integrated health and wellbeing of each person involved within the program. The standardized system includes processes and procedures for the following: new client consultations, evaluations, re-evaluation, program design, session protocols, record keeping and SOAP notes, business operations, marketing and management. He also created and developed a unique, whole body evaluation process to uncover imbalances and asymmetries that can lead to injury. The evaluation includes postural analysis, muscle length tension assessment, spinal curve measurements and client specific advanced orthopedic testing. In 2012, Gerald partnered with the Baton Rouge General Hospital System, selling the highly trained staff, allowing the Kinesics processes and protocols to be used within the hospital system, where he currently serves as the facility CEO for the hospital Kinesics System.
