Biography
Amy Blansit, MA, is the Founder and CEO of the American College of Wellness in Springfield, Missouri. She is currently on the Kinesiology Department faculty and teaching at Missouri State University, Amy was the Weight Management Coordinator for Mercy Health Systems. In 2003, Amy founded the American College of Wellness and continues to successfully oversee it today. Amy has been an adjunct instructor at Drury University and Missouri State University in the Exercise Science programs. She also has been on the teaching faculty for the Medical Wellness Association, Pinnacle Career Institute and University of Phoenix. Amy received her Master’s Degree from Adelphi University in Exercise Physiology. She is a certified ACSM Clinical Exercise Specialist and ACSM Health Fitness Specialist At the Missouri State University, she teaches courses in kinesiology, health and wellness promotion, obesity management and sport performance. Amy has been honored as a distinguished International Medical Wellness Association Diplomat, Advisor and inaugural MWA Faculty member. With experience in real estate development, she purchased the dilapidated Fairbanks Elementary School to create a hub for resources in underserved northwest Springfield. As chairman of The Drew Lewis Foundation and Program Director of the Northwest Project for socioeconomic development, Amy is working to positively impact poverty and improve the Springfield community
